This policy describes what data the BookwyDrop browser extension handles, why, and where it goes. The short version: the extension only processes data you ask it to process, sends it only to your own Bookwy Merchant account, and nothing is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising or tracking.
What the extension does
BookwyDrop is a dropshipping productivity tool. On your request it imports product details from AliExpress product pages into your Bookwy Merchant catalog, prefills eBay listing forms, copies an eBay order's shipping details into the AliExpress checkout, and syncs order tracking numbers.
Data the extension processes
- Product data you import — title, price, images, specifications, description and shipping cost of an AliExpress product page you are viewing, read only when you click an import, sync or listing button.
- Order data you capture — the order number, purchased items, prices and the buyer's ship-to details (name, address, phone) of an eBay order you are viewing, read only when you click "Copy shipping" or "Push order".
- Your extension settings — your personal Bookwy API key, server URL and language preference, stored locally in the browser's extension storage.
- Short-lived task state — for example which eBay listing tab you asked the extension to prefill, stored locally and cleared when the task completes or the tab closes.
Where the data goes
Data is transmitted to exactly one place: your own Bookwy Merchant account (my.bookwy.com or your self-hosted server), over HTTPS, authenticated with your personal API key. There it becomes part of your private product catalog and order records, visible only to your account (and your platform's administrator). The extension makes no requests to any other service.
What we do not do
- No sale or sharing of any data with third parties.
- No advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
- No collection of browsing history — the extension only reacts on AliExpress and eBay pages, and only when you press one of its buttons.
- No reading or modifying of pages on any other website.
- No remote code — all executed code ships inside the extension package.
Storage & retention
Settings and task state live in your browser's local extension storage and are removed when you uninstall the extension. Data you imported into your Bookwy Merchant account stays there until you delete it — products, orders and messages can be deleted from the back office at any time. Buyer shipping details copied for a checkout are overwritten by the next copy and can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.
Buyer personal data
Ship-to details of your marketplace buyers are processed solely so you can fulfil the order you received, acting on your instruction. Handle them in accordance with the marketplace policies and applicable data protection law (e.g. GDPR); delete orders from your back office when you no longer need them.
Security
All communication with your Bookwy Merchant server uses HTTPS. Your API key is stored only in local extension storage and can be revoked at any time from the back office (Settings ▸ API keys), which immediately disables the extension's access.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date above.
